Before I discovered Pilates I had debilitating back pain, terrible posture from sitting at a desk for hours on end, and my shoulders were hunched up by my ears because I was so tense and stressed!

Pilates was the one movement modality I could safely do whilst recovering from burnout and fatigue. It was (and continues to be) amazing for feeling strong in my body and calm in my mind. It is a journey and this course is just the beginning of where your Pilates practice could go!
This gentle and progressive introduction to Pilates is a great way to get started, or to refamiliarise yourself with this incredible movement modality.
Pilates is a movement modality developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, originally under the name of Contrology. Joseph designed a unique sequence of movements to bring the mind and body into alignment, working to strengthen and lengthen the deep stabilising muscles of the body, improving posture, strength and muscle tone, whilst relieving stress and tension.
Pilates is suitable for people of all ages, from all walks of life and all fitness levels. It is often the modality of exercise recommended by physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and other physical therapy specialists and is used for rehabilitation and sports conditioning.

I learned the hard way what happens when we don’t prioritise our health and wellbeing. Debilitating back pain, burnout and major fatigue finally stopped me in my tracks.
Pilates was one of the pillars of my recovery and it was so pivotal, I re-trained as an instructor!
Qualified in Pilates mat work, pre and post-natal Pilates and with additional training in postural analysis, therapeutic exercise, movement correction and advanced stretch techniques, I am delighted to be here sharing this incredible tool with you.

Pilates is just one of the tools I share as part of living an aligned life. I am a advocate of putting self-care first and I passionately believe that everyone is worthy of wellness. I offer an integrated approach to wellbeing with transformative coaching, mentoring & guidance to help you take back control of your wellbeing across the four fundamental elements of wellness – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
My vision is of a world where everyone feels empowered and has access to the tools, techniques and knowledge that facilitate wellbeing self-mastery.
4 x 45 minute pre-recorded, professionally filmed Pilates sessions;
Each new session builds on the previous one, so that you can feel the gradual progression and, ultimately, the positive changes in your wellbeing;
Each session is demonstrated and instructed by Carli, with clear verbal explanations throughout;
Go at your own pace. Whilst new content is released weekly, you can move through the course at the pace that feels right for your body;
You may repeat each session as many times as feels right for you before progressing to the next session;
At the end of the course, you will have the chance to set up a discovery call with Carli to answer any questions you may have and discuss next steps for your wellbeing journey;
You will have permanent access to this course content, so you can re-visit at any time.
This class is for beginners and will be perfect for you if:
you are new to Pilates and/or if you haven’t done Pilates (or other exercise) for a long time.
you would like to strengthen your body, improve balance and coordination and reduce stress.
you want to improve mobility and flexibility and potentially reduce back, neck and joint pain.
you are looking for a gentle yet powerful form of movement, without having to go to a gym or class.
All you need is an exercise mat, comfortable clothing and the curiosity to give it a try!

You will need internet access and a screen large enough to see and follow the demonstration and instructions.
Once you have purchased the course, you will receive an e-mail with instructions and links to access the online course portal.
You will receive weekly e-mails letting you know when new content is available.
Access to the course portal is available 24/7 so you can do Pilates at your own pace and at any time.
This course is not suitable for you if you are pregnant or have given birth within the last 3 months.
Whilst Carli is qualified to teach Pilates to those whom are pregnant or post-natal, this course has not been adapted accordingly.

I have just had another amazing session with Carli.
I have been doing Pilates weekly now with Carli for about 3 months.
I find her style very professional and very encouraging. Her exercises are easy to follow as Carli explains your body positioning and breathing clearly. The pace is very steady and Carli will encourage you to do more if you can without you feeling pressurised.
The session always seems to flow really nicely and I have noticed how much more connected I feel with my body since starting the sessions and can feel my inner strength and balance has improved.
I have been having 1:1 Pilates sessions with Carli for 6 months, starting as a complete novice and Carli has been fantastic throughout. She is patient, informative and clearly knows her stuff!
She has always shown flexibility and is nothing but positive.
Highly recommend!
For someone who is new to Pilates, I find it easy to follow, Carli explains clearly each move before & during.
